Karen Renea Snowden, age 44, of Morristown, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at her residence. She attended Victory Baptist Church and graduated from Walters State Nursing Program with her R.N. in 2009. Karen was a very compassionate person that loved caring for others. She was always willing to help anyone and loved animals. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, and niece and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn (Frank) Walker; father, James Owens, Jr.; grandparents, Grover and Christine Bryant and James and Mildred Owens; and several cousins. She is survived by her son, Owen “Peanut” David Rice; step-daughter, Maddy Rice; sisters, Sharon Johnston and Lori Owens; niece, Abby Johnston; aunts, Trish Inman, Emily Williams, and Beverly Shelton; uncles, Danny Bryant and Mike Bryant; and special friends, Ronna Inman and Ashleigh Howard. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 9th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Lance Buchanan officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 10th at Jarnagin Cemetery for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
