Karen was a Christian and was a member of Holston Baptist Church in Strawberry Plains. Karen was smart, funny and kind. She enjoyed helping others. She was the type of person who saw the good in people, even when they didn't deserve it, and would give her last dollar to help someone in need. She is survived by her mother, Brenda Widener; father, John Depew Jr.; sister, Crystal Depew (Scott Russell); beloved nephew, Ethan Russell; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
