Katherine Nora (Morton) Smith

Katherine “Phyllis” "Baby Girl" "Bigsissy" Nora Smith, age 60, of Talbott, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Karen Morton; and daughter, Crystal Smith. She is survived by her husband of forty four years, Paul Smith; daughter, Amanda (Steven) Epling; grandchildren, Myli Swiney, Josi Epling, and Caden Epling; sister, Tinsy (Robert) Castle; niece, Amber (Derek) Harris; great-niece, Sydni Sussan; and a host of other family and friends that she absolutely adored. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, November 3rd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Tim Jones officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 4th at Hills-Union Cemetery in Dandridge for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
