Keith D. Carpenter, age 85, of Bean Station, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026 at his residence. He was a member of Stone Mountain Missionary Baptist Church. Keith was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Verda Carpenter; brothers, Jack, Coy, Darrell, Wayland, Burl, Larry, and Troy Carpenter; and sisters, Opal Krill and Ruby Jones. He is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Carolyn Carpenter; sons, Kevin (Christy) Carpenter and Larry Massey; daughter, Stephanie Dawn (Wayne) Johnson; special son, Bo Dalton; grandchildren, Caleb Johnson, Dereck Johnson, Heather Carpenter, Cassandra (Will) Jenkins, Connor Carpenter, and Kevin Weidner; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Elma Dalton and Lana Parsons; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1st at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 2nd at Lakeshore Missionary Baptist Church in Bean Station with Rev. Clifford Dalton, Rev. Donald Harding, and Rev. C.H. Dalton officiating. The body will lie in state from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Lakeshore Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
