Mr. Kenneth Pittman, of Morristown, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021 at the age of 94. He was a World War II Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 76 years, Annie Pittman, his siblings, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hattie Viola Rose Pittman and E. J. “Jack” Pittman; brothers, Howard, William, Ambers “Blackie”, Archie, and Charles Pittman, and Eulis and J. R. Wright; sisters, Senora Thomas, Betty June Adcock, Edith Wright, Louise Underwood, Marjorie (Iona) Minyard, and Mary Della Pittman. Survived by his wife, Annie Thomas Pittman; sister, Roxie Ray; son, Wayne (Jean) and Richard (Vicky) Pittman; daughters, Mary Ann Skelton and Janice (Fred) Adkins; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Pittman retired from the U. S. Postal service where he was a rural mail carrier. He also worked with American ENKA and TVA. Mr. Pittman was a long time member of Noe’s Chapel UMC where he served as Scout Master, taught Sunday School Class, worked with the UMYF, and always present working with their annual apple and peach butter making, rummage sales, and assistance wherever needed. He was as 62 year member of the Masons Morristown Lodge #231 and a 50 year member of Lodge #113. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24th at Noe’s Chapel Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Rev. Dennis Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow at Noe’s Chapel Cemetery. Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
