Kristina "Kristi" Pauline (Shoffner) Spoon

Kristina "Kristi" Pauline Spoon, age 55, of Morristown, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025 after a long battle with ALS.  Kristi was born in Kokomo, IN to Wayne and Luann Shoffner on February 6, 1970.  She moved to Tennessee with her family in 1973.  Kristi graduated from Rutledge High School, class of 1988.  She met the love of her life, Jackie Spoon in 1986 and they married in 1988.  Kristi and Jackie share two sons, Shawn and Jason Spoon. Kristi owned and operated Classic Monogramming for 27 years.  She started her business in 1997 as a hobby and it quickly grew into a very successful business.  She sold the business in late 2024 to Anthony and Angie Ottinger. Kristi loved spending time with her family.  She was most proud to be called Gam Gam by her two precious granddaughters, Paislee and Lakelynn.  They were the light of her life.  She and Jackie loved to go camping and it was an extra treat when the girls got to come along. Kristi was baptized at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kokomo, IN. She enjoyed services at Fernwood Baptist Church, Morristown, TN. Kristi was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Shoffner;  grandparents, Taylor and Ruth Shoffner and Robert and Louise Phipps; brother, Larry Shoffner; mother-in -law, Sue Pinkston; aunt and uncle, Wanda "Aunt Polly" and Uncle Eph Gose; and uncle, Roger Phipps. She leaves behind her husband, Jackie Spoon; sons, Shawn (Lindsy) Spoon of Virginia Beach, VA and Jason (Caroline) Spoon of Morristown; grandchildren, Paislee and Lakelynn Spoon of Virginia Beach, VA; mother, Luann Shoffner of Morristown; sister, Cindy (Jimmy) Fennell of Morristown; father-in-law, Jack Spoon of Rutledge; sister-in-law, Tammy Pinkston of Jefferson City; aunt, Barbara Phipps (Auntie BJ) of Kokomo, IN; niece, Brittany Shoffner of Rutledge; nephew, Malik (Paige) Kyle of Knoxville; and cousin, Richard Gose of Virginia. Special thank you to all nurses and caregivers, Michelle Dalton, Amber Ingle, Amanda, and Kennedy Asbury. The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m. Thursday, July 10th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Sonny Davis and Rev. Daniel Christian officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Friday, July 11th at Grainger Memorial Gardens in Rutledge for graveside services. Pallbearers: Shawn Spoon, Jason Spoon, Roland Holt, Donnie Atkins, Malik Kyle, Scott Wynn, and Brian Houseal. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
