Lance Hammer

Lance Hammer, age 67, of New Market, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed quarter horses and was a retired truck driver after driving for many years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Reuben Charles Hammer. He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Denise Hammer; sons, Travis Hammer, Chris Hammer, and Dustin Hammer; mother, Arlene Zsadanyi-Nagy; grandchildren, Zoie Hammer and Owen Hammer; brothers, Mark (Maria) Hammer and Garth (Kris) Hammer; sisters, Lisa (Vince) Viola and Jolene (Doug) Kacy; special friend, Shane Perry; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, February 16th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Tim Goins officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 17th at Sunderland Cemetery for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
