Larry Clarence Dalton, age 75, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at his home surrounded by a great number of family and friends. Larry was saved in a New Year’s Eve Watch service at Powerhouse Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member until his death. To know Dad was to love him. He had the biggest heart, best personality, and loved his family so much. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty five years, Carolyn Faye Dalton; father, Rev. Hughie Dalton; brothers, Haskell, Esco, Fred, Clay, Garrett, and Hugh B. Dalton; and sisters, Tannie Bell, Clara Monk, and Elsie West. He is survived by his sons, John (Melissa) Dalton, Larry Hugh (Jennifer) Dalton, and grandson he raised as a son, Chris (Jaclyn) Wells; daughters, Vanessa Long and Annette (Faydean) Bolden; grandchildren, John-Garrett, Braxton, and Reagan Dalton, Brooke Clark, Jaylin Cotter, Jessa Mullins, Ashley Odell, Tiffany Lewis, Tamra Dalton, Brittany Dalton, Larry Dean Bolden, Chelsea Bolden, and Kaiden Wells; twenty six great-grandchildren; mother, June Sawyer; sisters, Eva Jean Coffey, Virginia (Jimmy) Russell, and Brill (Terry) Pollard; brother, Major (Lea) Dalton; sister-in-law, Lucille Collins; and brothers-in-law, Sonny (Sarah) Carter and Johnny Carter. Special thanks to Sheila Dalton for helping take such good care of Larry. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 14th at Powerhouse Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 15th at the church with Rev. Lonnie Dalton, Rev. Steve Johnson, and Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
