Larry Dean Frye, age 80, born August 11, 1944, went to his Heavenly home on Friday, December 6, 2024 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville due to a stroke. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bessie (Fox) Frye; sons, Larry Dean Frye, Jr. and Wally Frye; father and mother-in-law, Tiz and Erma Lee Wisecarver; brothers, Palmar Frye, A.D. Frye, George Frye, and Albert Frye; sister, Marie Carr; brothers-in-law, Donald Parker, Ray Cockrum and Gene Blankenship; and sister-in-law, Ella Mae Parker. He is survived by his wife of forty five years, Linda Wisecarver Frye; daughters, Deana Frye and Lynette Davis; brothers, Paul (Margaret) Frye, Clyde (Norma) Frye, and Carl (Pat) Frye; sisters, Helen (Earl) Harmon, Patricia Gouge, and Irene Blankenship; sister-in-law, Debbie “Memaw” Cockrum; special niece, Brittni Cockrum (Kyle Long); and several other nieces and nephews, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Special thanks to U.T. Medical Center for their outstanding care. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, December 9th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Scott Greene officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 10th at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
