Lavy “Forrest” Brotherton, age 72, of Morristown, departed this life Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System after complications from having a stroke. He was a mechanic by trade and loved racing dirt track. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Sylvia Brotherton; brothers, C.L. Ralph, Floyd, and Wayland Brotherton; and sisters, Wanda Brotherton and Doris Tunnell. He leaves behind his loving wife, Barbara Brotherton; Pal and napping buddy, dog Roscoe; daughters, Loretta (Craig) Parton of Talbott, Deloris (Randy) Seale of New Market, and Elizabeth (Nathan) Malone of Warrensburg; and grandchildren, Nicholas Sinard, Ressa Parton, Allysun, Christopher, and Jackson Malone. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Thursday, June 18th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 6 pm Thursday with Rev. Eddie Gray officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1 pm on Friday, June 19th at County Line Cemetery in Rogersville. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
