Leon Ernie Elkins

Leon E. Elkins, age 86, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. Leon was a member of Spruce Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Rosella Elkins; parents, Bleve and Hester Elkins; sister, Janice Day; and brother, Arnold Buddy Elkins. He is survived by his son, Rick (Ramona) Elkins; grandsons, and their families that he adored, Lee (Rachel) Elkins and Lucas (Rachael) Elkins; He is also survived by his precious great grandson, Asher Elkins; He leaves his sisters, Carolyn (Wade) Carroll; and brother, Gary (Laurie) Elkins; and a host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet for a 12 pm graveside service on Wednesday, November 25th at Hamblen Memory Gardens with Rev. O’Dell Davidson and Rev. Dustin Callahan officiating. The family request attendees follow CDC guidelines due to the COVID pandemic. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be sent to Spruce Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church Youth.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
