Leroy E. Smith, Jr.

Leroy E. Smith, Jr., age 93, of Morristown, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of Talbott Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Leroy was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine Smith; and parents, Leroy Eugene, Sr. and Thelma Smith. He is survived by his daughters, Jan (Tony) Short, Debbie Goodman, and Gina (Bill) Feltman; grandchildren, Chris Goodman, Chip (Brittany) Feltman, Brittany (Kyle) Nance, and Lindsey (Jordan) Gardner; great-grandchildren, Breyden Feltman, Deegan Feltman, Kayden Short, Kynlee Nance, Oliver Gardner, and Archer Gardner; and special friend, Rita Thomas. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, September 9th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Brennan King officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 10th at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Fred Jenkins, David Wice, Jordan Gardner, Bill Feltman, and Kyle Nance. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
