Lillian C. Eckenrod, age 82, of Bean Station, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Beloved Mama, Nanny, wife, sister, and friend, she was born and raised in Bainbridge, Georgia where Lillian married Ronnie Eckenrod. Together for sixty two years, until his passing in December 2019, she has now joined her husband and son in Heaven. Lillian had an unwavering faith and if she was not talking to you about the Lord or her family, she was talking about fishing. Her loved ones knew the catfish pond was her happy place. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie M. Eckenrod; son, Robert Eckenrod; parents, L.C. and Ellie Mae Cloud; brothers, Robert “Buddy” Cloud and Windell Atkinson; and sisters, Elizabeth Burris, Margie Rentz, and Myrtle Benton. She is survived by her children, Bonnie Eckenrod (Jim Carmichael), Kelley (Gary) Wilson, and Ronnie “Bubba” (Denise) Eckenrod; grandchildren, Angie Grey, Amanda Wilson, Lilli Eckenrod, and Jessica (Michael) Cherry; special granddaughters, Tesia Rice and Rachel Bonham; great-grandchildren, Sadie Grey and Jon Grey; sisters, Laverne Brinson and Frances Myerson; best friend, Jo Crutchfield; and many loved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Saturday, November 28th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Aaron Grey officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Shriner’s Hospital of Greenville, South Carolina. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
