She was born on May 29, 1951, unto the union of her late parents, Herbert and Lucille Green Brown in Cumberland, Kentucky. She is also preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Richard and Ollie Polli, brother-in-law, Richard “Dickie” Polli. Lillian was the oldest of eight children and always served as the matriarch of her family, always tending to their needs. She was a loving mother and a devoted wife of forty-eight years. She believed in the Holiness faith. She enjoyed raising cactuses, beautiful flower gardens, shopping, singing, maintaining a clean home, preparing some delicious meals, as she was a wonderful cook. She was known for making the best homemade butter and buttermilk. She had a beautiful smile, a loving personality, and a giving heart. She loved traveling and taking vacations, never planning, just jumping in the car and going. She made the decision in her early years to take a break from school to help her parents raise her brothers and sisters. She later returned to school and earned her G.E.D. and went on to attend Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, where she earned high scores and remained on the Dean’s List. Lillian was one of a kind and she will be missed dearly.
