Liza "Katie" Kate (Webb) Fugate

Liza “Katie” Webb Fugate, age 82, of Morristown, went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Katie was saved at a young age and grew up at Big Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She belonged to Enterprise Baptist Church and attended there until her health declined. Katie was raised in the Big Hill community of Mooresburg. She married her husband, Art, in 1961 and moved to Memphis and started their family there with two boys and then moved to Morristown in 1964 and expanded their family with three more children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Mamie Webb; her husband of fifty five years, Walford Art Fugate; brothers, Joe Dale and Clyde Buddy Webb; and step-mother, Sybil Webb. Left to cherish her memory are her ”Ten” children, David (Gloria) Fugate, Steve (Becky) Fugate, Melissa (Troy) Gibson, Kevin (Kim) Fugate, and Jennifer (Mike) Caldwell; grandchildren, Cody (April) Fugate,  Megan (Michael) Warren, Grace Fugate, Abby Fugate, Sophie (Ethan) Bagley, Lance Fugate, and Tyler Caldwell; great-grandsons, Easton Fugate and Emmitt Warren; step-brothers, Calvin (Cathy) Cowan and Lynn (Joyce) Cowan; step-sister, Brenda Horner; special friend, Gwen Chandler; and several in-laws, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to thank the staffs of Jefferson Park in Dandridge, the Heritage Center, and Dr. Gupta for the love and care they gave to our mother. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Sunday, June 2nd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Harold Noe and Rev. James Ramsey officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 3rd at Big Hill Cemetery in Mooresburg. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
