Obituary
Luke Masengill, age 80, of Knoxville, formerly of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Island Home Health and Rehab in Knoxville. He was a member of Community Fellowship in Christ Church. Luke loved history and enjoyed going to the Grand Ole Opry. He graduated Carson-Newman University and then carried on the legacy of running his parents farm. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hazel Masengill; and four infant siblings. He is survived by his wife, Kay Masengill; daughter, Leslie (Brian) Pratt; grandchildren, Kayla (Alex) Dobbins, Cyara Pratt, and Brianna (Anthony) Pratt-Chapman; his cat, “Bear”; and many special friends. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Trevor Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with James Shanks officiating. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
