Luther "Benson" Way

Luther “Benson” Way, age 81, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He retired from Norfolk Southern and was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. Benson never met a stranger and was a party within himself. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Benson Way, Sr. and Eula Way; brothers-in-law, Lynn Nelson and Randy Range; and nephew, Jason Range. He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Shirley Way; son, Shawn (Olivia) Way; grandchildren, Emma Way and Rhett Way; brother, Ed Way; sister, Linda Range; brother-in-law, Steve (Debbie) Thayer; and sister-in-law, Linda Nelson. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, February 9th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Brad Thayer officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Kingswood School or the Senior Citizens Center in Morristown. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
