Margie N. Hopkins

Margie N. Hopkins, age 80, formerly of Talbott, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Jefferson City Health and Rehab Center where she had been a resident for the past eighteen years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Haskell “Hack” and Virgie Amyx Hopkins; sisters, Edna Mae Knight and Grace Walker; and brothers, Melvin Jackson Hopkins and Roy Fain Hopkins. She is survived by her sisters, Ruby (Fain) Hill and Helen Welch; nieces, Anita (David) Eller and Sherry (Saundra) Hopkins; nephews, Jackey (Sherry) Smith, Danny Welch, and Tim Welch; and great-niece, Deanna (Dale) Cotter. A very special thank you to the entire staff of Jefferson City Health and Rehab Center and to Margie’s favorite nurse, Rhonda Collins, for their excellent care of Margie over the years. Also, a special thank you to Smoky Mountain Hospice and to Sherry Kimbrough. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23rd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. T.H. Ferrell and Rev. Mike Sledge officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 24th at Sunderland Cemetery.
