Marvin Eugene Smith, Jr.

Marvin Eugene Smith, Jr., age 59, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 17, 2019. He was a member of Roe Junction Baptist Church and was employed at Kenny’s Body Shop for thirty-four years. He was a loving husband, father, and papaw and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin E. Smith, Sr.; sister, Jeannie Yardley; and father-in-law, Dillard Henderson. He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Linda Smith; sons, Jason (Kim) Smith and Cory (Jamie) Smith; mother, Mary Bell Smith; grandchildren, Brooke Smith, Cooper Smith, and Luke Smith; sisters, Glenda (Mike) Sturm and Doris Jarnigan; brother, Jeff Smith; mother-in-law, Juanita Henderson; brother-in-law, Tommy Yardley; brother-in-law, Dillard, Jr. (Rachel) Henderson; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Kenny Porterfield officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20th at Roe Junction Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. O’Dell Davidson officiating. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
