Mary Ellen (Kenny) Birch

Mary Ellen Birch, age 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 26th, 2020.  She was born on January 5th, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan to Edward and Eleanor Kenny.  Mary was a resident of Morristown, TN for the past 16 years and a beloved member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.  She loved singing, gardening, making crafts, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Kenny; her mother; Eleanor Kenny; and eight brothers and sisters.  Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donald George Birch; her daughter, Kathleen (David) DeAngelis; her son, Timothy (Tracy) Birch; her grandchildren, Nicholas (Carolina) DeAngelis, Logan DeAngelis, Cassandra Birch, Terra Birch, and Jordan DeAngelis; two great-grandchildren, Margeaux Birch and Oliver Birch-Bartholomew; a sister, Patricia (Vince) Garissi; and several nieces and nephews.  A memorial service at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church will be held at a later date. Mary will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
