Mary Etta Wilson

Mary Etta Lawing Wilson, 92, of Morristown, passed peacefully at her home Thursday, June 6, 2024. A nurse for over 30 years, Mary will be remembered for her caring and compassionate actions toward her friends, her family, and all whose paths she crossed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Elizabeth Leach; her husbands, Arlie "Gene" Lawing and Hobart Wilson; her first son, Randy Lawing (Glenna Harris Lawing); and her daughter, Fran Lawing Locke (Jeffrey Locke). She is survived by her youngest son, Jeffrey Lawing (Michele Lawing); and grandsons: Zachary Lawing, Matthew Lawing, and Jonathan Locke. The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 14th, at Westside Funeral Home with Dr. Keith Mowery officiating a funeral service directly to follow. Family and friends will meet for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service at Greenelawn Memory Gardens in Greeneville, TN, on Saturday, June 15th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made In Memory of Mary Wilson to the WSCC Foundation, POBox 1508 Morristown, TN, 37816. These funds will be used to help local Nursing students afford college.
