McHenry Manning

McHenry Manning, age 89, of Sneedville, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021. He was of the Baptist faith and was saved when he was a young man at Providence Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and friends at Mac’s Auto Sales. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sarah Manning; daughters, Karen and Marcia; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Laura Manning. children, Judith Manning, Deborah (Harry) Purkey, Daniel (Mary) Manning, and McHenry, Jr. (Jamie) Manning; step-children, Tony (Lynn) Hilton, Sandra (Dennie) Wilder, Carl (Cindy) Hilton, Allen (Becky) Hilton, Lois Adkins, Luke Hilton, and Maggie Hilton; brother, Tommy Manning; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 22nd at Pleasant Valley Church Cemetery in Hancock County with Rev, Roger Trent officiating.
