Michael "Mike" Vaughn Stanbery

Michael “Mike” Vaughn Stanbery, age 60, of Talbott, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a member of Talbott-Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mike loved cooking, traveling, and working in the church. He will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Vaughn Stanbery; and brother, Douglas Stanbery. He is survived by his mother, Norma Stanbery; brother, Anthony (Christi) Stanbery; niece, Courtney (Jordan) Foland; nephews, Zachary (Destiny) Stanbery and Devaughn (Dillian) Stanbery; great-nieces, Averlee and Raelynn; special friend, Chris; and cousins, Sheila Gentry, Teresa Wexler, and Steve Owens. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m. Sunday, October 20th at Talbott-Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. at the church with Pastor Brennan King and Josh Gibson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Monday, October 21st at Sugar Grove Church Cemetery in Mountain City for graveside services.
