Michael "Poppa Dukes" Franklin Canupp

Michael Franklin “Poppa Dukes” Canupp, age 57, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025 at his home. He was born in Davie County, North Carolina on December 27, 1967 to Gerald Canupp and Donna Pepper. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He also loved music and fishing. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Gerald L. Canupp; and brothers, John C. Canupp and Gerald “Kippy” Canupp. He is survived by his mother, Donna R. Eddins; step-father, Alan Eddins; children, Josh Canupp, Rachel Canupp, Mikayla, Pepper, and Max; sisters, Donna and Rebecca; grandchildren, Chase, Rowyn, and Jett; nephew, Justin; niece, Kalee; and long time friend, Loretta Hollifield. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
