Oma “Juanita” Hopkins, age 88, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025 at Jefferson Park Nursing Home in Dandridge. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jefferson City. Juanita loved crocheting and spending time talking with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Edward Hopkins; parents, Samuel Bryant and Anna Mae Gulley; brothers, Clarence Gulley, Clifford Gulley, Edward Gulley, Eugene Gulley, and Paul Gulley; and sisters, Lucille Wisecarver, Lena Kell, and Ruby Fullington. She is survived by her daughters, Geraldine (Glenn) Cameron, Lois Hopkins, and Janice Fraker; grandchildren, Kelly (Jeremy) Barnett and Sonya Cameron; great-grandchild, Elliott Barnett; brother, Donald Gulley; sister, Carolyn Burgin; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Jefferson Park Nursing Home and Smoky Mountain Hospice. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m. Monday, August 18th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
