Opal Dean (Clemons) Jones

Opal Dean Jones, age 89, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and she loved her family fiercely, always putting them first. She was strong in her faith and loved the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Jones; parents, Harvey and Martha Clemons; son, Michael Jones; daughters, Mary and Loretta Jones; and brothers, Dock, Bobby, and Charles Clemons. She is survived by her son, J.D. Jones; daughter, Patti (Butch) Conkin; sisters, Louise (Mac) McCormick and Pearly (Henry) Price; grandchildren, Kristia Conkin, Jayme Conkin, Misty (Jerry) Denman, Tyler Jones, Mia Jones, and Michael Jones; great grandchildren, Chase Anderson, Aiden Anderson, Chloe Anderson, Mai'le Conkin, Jaxan Anglin, Faith Denman, and Opal Denman; and several friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment services will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to a non-profit organization or  a monetary donation to the family that live far away for travel expenses.
