Ora Lee (Killion) Stapleton

Ora Lee Stapleton, age 89, of Talbott, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Talbott Baptist Church and was saved at a young age. Ora loved working in her garden, canning, and working crossword puzzles. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Maggie Killion; brother, Charles Howard Killion; and daughter-in-law, Melanie Stapleton. She is survived by her husband of seventy years, Lawrence Stapleton; children, Larry Stapleton, Rodney (Vickie) Stapleton, and Regina (Shannon) Collins; grandchildren, Stacy (James) Gilmore, Jessica Ward, Rachel Stapleton, Shanna (Hayden) Hughes, Raleigh Collins, Candace Jarnigan, and Tiffany Jones; great-grandchild, Dakota Hughes; and special friend, Linda Ahl. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29th at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for graveside services with Rev. Sean Watson and Rev. Wade McCullough officiating.
