Oscar S. Ayers

Oscar S. Ayers, age 79, of Morristown, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He retired from the Newport Housing Authority and was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Cora Ayers; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of fifty eight years, Faye Ayers; sons, Mark (Stacy) Ayers and Chris (Missy) Ayers; grandchildren, Arnisha, Johnathan, Samantha, and Mackenzie Ayers; special brother-in-law, Ralph Johnson; and several nieces, nephews, and other in-laws. Special thanks to the staff at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, December 6th at Bethesda Cemetery for graveside services with Rev. Mark Ayers and Ralph Johnson officiating.
