Pamela “Pam” June McElhaney, age 70, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Serenity Hospice House due to injuries sustained in a house fire. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family. Pam was an Elvis fan and loved watching the Andy Griffith show. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry McElhaney; son, Robbie Hefner; and father, Robert “Bob” Prowell. She is survived by her son, Eddie Hefner; grandchildren, Brittany (Landon) Templin, Kylie Hefner, Macey Hefner, and Paxton Seal; great-grandchildren, Carter Singleton, Kaislee Singleton, Sawyer Templin, and Everly Templin; mother Delores Prowell; brothers, Mike (Robin) Prowell and Steve Prowell; sister, Sherry (Randy) Harrison; step-sons, Rocky (Penny) McElhaney and their children, Luke, Jake, Tate, and Isla, and Reggie (Angel) McElhaney and their children, Ty. Liam, Cohen, and Thea; and special friend, Rick Poff. Special thanks to the staff of Gentiva Hospice. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Sunday, October 29th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. David Jones officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Monday, October 30th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home to go in procession for an 11 a.m. graveside service at Central Point Baptist Church Cemetery in Rutledge.
