Paris “Rowdy” Dalton, age 78, of Thorn Hill, born March 20, 1943, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at his residence. He was saved at an early age and was a member of Cedar Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost fifty-five years, Minnie Ruth “Boot” Dalton; infant son, Melvin Dalton; parents, Carl and Mary Lee Dalton; and brother, Rev. C.J. Dalton. He is survived by his daughters, Sandy (William) Denton of New Market and Regina (Gary) Coffey of Thorn Hill; grandchildren, Laura (Christian), Will (Adrian), Shana, Matthew, Samantha (Wayne), Brittany, Chelsey, D.J., and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Willy, Waylon, Adalyn, Ronnie, RaeAnna, Journie, and Bubba; sister-in-law, JoAnn Dalton; special caregiver, Gary Coffey; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 6th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Terry Dalton, Rev. Chris Hayes, and Brother Elmer Kincaid officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 7th at McDaniel-Dalton Cemetery in Thorn Hill for graveside services.
