Pauline Hollifield Obituary

Pauline Vaughn Hollifield, age 74, of Morristown, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital surrounded by her family. Pauline professed faith in Christ at an early age, joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, later joined Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a member until her death. She served several years as Primary Class Teacher, Flower Fund Secretary, Sunday School Secretary, and Song Leader.  She owned and operated Pauline’s Tax Service, co-owned and operated Bargain Barn Furniture in Morristown, and was office manager of Quality Finishing. She was born on May 2, 1945 as one of eleven children to the Late Henry Clay and Nancy Vaughn. Pauline was known for her big beautiful smile, contagious laughter, and a heart that was made of pure gold. She was a loving and giving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Anyone who knew Pauline instantly loved her, and she is going to be so deeply missed by all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by loving and devoted husband, Rev. James “Ron” Hollifield;  infant son, Donnie Coffey; her parents, brothers, Dewey Vaughn, Garrett Vaughn, Clyde Vaughn, Gene Vaughn, and Leonard Vaughn; and sisters, Viola Wilmoth, and Molly Mullins. She is survived by her children, Debra (James) Chastain, of Mount Juliet, TN., Randy Coffey (Christie Smith), of Bean Station, Janice  Fields(Louie Childers), of Morristown, Lynn (Tammy) Coffey of Bean Station, Linda (Greg) Jones of Morristown, and Ronnie (Trish) Coffey of Knoxville; grandchildren whom she loved , Tonya (Chance) Linkous whom she loved like a daughter, special grandsons whom she loved dearly, Matt (Chelsea) Barker, Justin Coffey, Brandon (Stephanie) Coffey, Jordon (Rachel) Jones, Cody (Katelyn) Coffey, Jeffrey (Whitney) Fields,  Lynn (Mia) Coffey II, and Aaron (Sara) Coffey; and her much loved baby granddaughter, Kylie Jones, Josh (Brittany) Chastain, Kristy Lowe; her special great grandchildren, Gage Linkous, Reed Linkous, Bryson Barker, Roman Linkous, Tyler Barker, Kayden Ogden, Carson Coffey, Macey Coffey, Lennox Fields,  Silas Coffey, Weston Coffey, Ryder Coffey, Sutton Jones, Adley Coffey, Bradley Chastain, and Elijah Lowe. Special sister, Clella Marsh; brothers, Grant (Dell)Vaughn, and Barnett (Doris) Vaughn; Also several nieces and nephews and many special friends and church family. A special thank you to Dr. Schumaker and his staff, and all the caregivers who cared for her during her illness. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Tuesday, July 30th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 pm on Tuesday with Rev. Clayton Coffey, Rev. Donald Swatzell, and Rev. Tim Jones officiating. Graveside services will be 11 am on Wednesday, July 31st at Meek Cemetery in Bean Station. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
