Phronia Lawson

Phronia Lawson, age 82, of Morristown, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at her residence. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was always putting everyone else before herself  and found joy in taking care of others. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Lawson; parents, Oakley and Onvia Sinkhorn; brothers, David Sinkhorn, Orville “Poodle” Sinkhorn, and Ray Sinkhorn; and sister, Joyce Hall. She is survived by her daughters, Darlene (Gary) Adkins, and Donna (Keith Shaffer) Musick; grandchildren, Hannah (Justin) Finchum, Aaron Adkins, and Olivia (P.K.) Kelly; great grandchildren, Briley and Oakley Finchum, and Elijah Adkins; sisters, Tommie Howard, and Charlsie (Louie) Weston; also several nieces and nephews, especially Melinda Sinkhorn, who helped with her care giving the last several weeks. A special thank you to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice for their excellent care.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Monday, June 17th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7pm Monday with Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Family and friends will meet for an 11 am graveside service on Tuesday, June 18th at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
