Phyllis Ann (Goan) Baird

Phyllis Ann Goan Baird, age 83, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at her residence. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was very well thought of in her community. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Phyllis was a long-time member of First Christian Church of Morristown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Baird; parents, Alfred and Anna Ruth Goan; brother, Edwin Goan; and two infant brothers. She is survived by her sons, Duayne (Mary) Baird and David S. (Debbie) Baird; grandchildren, Jessica Worthington, Derek Baird, and Benjamin Baird; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Saturday, April 10th at First Christian Church. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Rev. J.R. Hengehold officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 11th at Witt Baptist Church Cemetery for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
