Phyllis G (Jones) Owen

Phyllis G. Owen, age 81, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at her home. She was born on November 3, 1938. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church in Morristown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mable and Zana B. Jones; sisters, Mildred Kilgore, Virginia Couch, and Juanita Caton;  and brothers, Tom Jones, Jim Jones, and Bud Jones. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William “Bill” Owen; son, Ricky (Mary Jane) Owen; grandchildren, Dusty Owen, Kevin Owen, and Brad Burton; great grandchildren, Austin Owen, Arista Owen, and Braden Burton; also several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Brenda Wright. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Thursday, August 6th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Travis Webb officiating. Family and friends will meet for a 10 a.m. graveside service on Friday, August 7th at Hamblen Memory Gardens. A special thank you to Dialysis of Morristown, Amedisys Home Health, and Dr, Gupta.
