Rebecca “Becky” McLain, of Morristown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday February 19, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, faith, and fierce love. Becky was known for being hard-headed in the very best way — determined, strong-willed, and never one to back down. She had a spirited personality, sweet at heart, but with a little temper that made her unmistakably herself. Those who loved her wouldn’t have had her any other way. She loved being on the go, always doing something, always moving, always staying busy. Even when her health began to fail and she could no longer go the way she once did, her strong spirit remained. For over 20 years, Becky faithfully attended Temple Baptist Church in Morristown, where she remains a current and cherished member. Her church was important to her, and her faith carried her through life’s joys and hardships. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Charlotte Daniels and Bill and Mamie Petitt; siblings, Josephine, Loretta, Claude, and Dagney; and her husband, Jack McLain. She is survived by her children, Chuck (Kathy) Cutshall, Dagny (Glenn) McAmis, Eddie McLain, Jimmy (Heather) McLain, and Jaime McLain; her grandchildren, Doug, Julie, Lisa, Jodie (Paul), Alex (Mariah), Tyler (Jaedyn), Tucker, Nassiah, Olivia, Isaiah, Jacob (Jessica), Rebecca, and Little Dagny; special great- grandchildren, Tobias, Gracelyn, and Mayleigh Jo; along with several other great-grandchildren; special nephew, Mike (Patsy) Orrick; and a host of other family and friends. A special thank you to Valerie Talley and the staff at Life Care of Morristown for taking such good care of Becky during her last days. We will forever hold you in our hearts. Becky will be remembered for her strength, her stubborn courage, her sweetness, and the love she showed in her own unique way. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing she is now healed, whole, and at peace. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, February 23rd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Brian Southerland, Rev. Eddie Bradley, Rev. Alex McLain, and Rev. Tyler McLain officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 24th at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
