Rev. Eugene "Gene" Aubry Hollifield

Rev. Eugene “Gene” Aubry Hollifield, age 85, of White Pine, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024 at his residence. He was a member of Joseph’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Gene was the pastor of several churches in the Lakeway area. He retired from Lakeway Container. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Pearl Hollifield; brothers, Bea, Will, Floyd, and Ron Hollifield; and sisters, Mary Lou Roberts and Jessie Mae Johnson. He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Gwendolyn Mae Hollifield; daughters, Cheryl Hollifield, Kristie (Tony) Slay, and Kimberly (Travis) Greene; grandchildren, Amanda Wilson, Audrea (Corey) Foster, Adam (Tiffany) Wilson, Summer (Bobby) Cody, Kaitlyn (Hall)Latimer, and Kierra Greene; great-grandchildren, Revan Foster, Zoe Foster, Ezra Cody, Adali Cody, Eli Wilson, Hudson Latimer, and Bauer Latimer; brother, Jimmy (Rhonda) Hollifield; and sister, Ruth (Oscar) Arms. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m. Monday, March 18th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Adam Wilson officiating and his grandchildren will speak. Interment will follow at Joseph’s Chapel Cemetery in Bybee. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
