Rev. Hugh “Kyle” Walker, 78, of Bean Station, born on March 11, 1947, went to be with the Lord on his birthday, Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Kyle was saved at an early age and was a member of Summeys Bridge Baptist Church, Cumberland Gap, TN. Kyle was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Minnie Walker; and siblings Estil Walker, Lorene Walker, and Linda Miller. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Peggy Walker; children, Terry (Connie) Walker, Barbie (Tommy) Keck, and Holly (Marty) Newman; grandchildren, Caitlan (Dustin) Wilson, Jonathan Walker, Tanner Keck, and Laney Newman; great grandchildren Kylor and Chandler Wilson; siblings, Grover, Wayne, and Donnie Walker, Mildred Hayes, and Zella Woody, several nieces and nephews; and many loving and caring neighbors. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Friday, March 14th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Lonnie Douglas Dalton and Rev. Shannon Atkins officiating, and Chandler Dalton singing. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15th at Walker Cemetery in Bean Station for graveside services. Pallbearers will be Richard Walker, Joshua Walker, Greg Collins, Vernon Hayes, Brandon Walker, Tyler McCubbins, and Ed McCubbins. Honorary pallbearer is Marshall Davis. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
