Rezina Jay (Ward) Odell

Rezina Jay Odell, age 56, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 at her residence. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Candice Short; parents, J.D. and Carzell Ward; sister, Lotta; brothers, Gerald Ward and Jay Carroll Ward; and daughter-in-law, Jessica VanHuss; and Tina Ward. She is survived by her husband of thirty years, Everett “Curggie” Odell; son, J.D. Ward; grandchildren,  Zander Ward, Stuner Ward, Jackson Spalding, Zaylee May Ward, Brooklyn Hutchinson, Bailey Dobbins, and Abby Hutchinson; sisters, Johda Ward, Sharon Murrell, and Sherie Collins;  close friends, Donna Potter, Nana, Steve, and dog, “Romie”; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 6 p.m. Monday, May 15th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Richard Webb officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Westside Chapel Funeral Home for funeral expenses. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
