Richard "Ricky" Eugene Ramsey

Richard “Ricky”Eugene Ramsey, age 74, passed away on June 25, 2026. Born on September 10, 1951, in Mulberry Gap, Tennessee across Clinch Mountain and Newman’s Ridge, Richard was a man who found true joy in the simple things in life—especially fishing. Whether sitting by a quiet riverbank or out on the water, he was most at peace with a fishing pole in his hand and nature all around him. He was also an avid ginseng and pheasant hunter as well. Richard dearly loved his nieces and nephews, (as well as great nieces and nephews) who knew him best as “Uncle Ricky.” He will be remembered for the love he shared with his family, his steady spirit, and the quiet happiness he found in doing what he loved most. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyde E. Ramsey and Martha Gladys Louthan Ramsey. We find comfort in knowing he is now with his parents. Richard is survived by his siblings, Sandra, Lynn and Everette. Richard’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Family and friends will meet for graveside services at 2 pm on Tuesday, June 30th at Hamblen Memory Gardens with Rev. Tim Jones officiating.
