Robert "Gene" Eugene Yount

Robert Eugene Yount, age 88, of Morristown, a Godly and beloved Christian, sadly left our world on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Gene was born on August 18, 1936 in Treadway, TN to George and Nell Yount. He was an only child that loved the Lord Jesus Christ with his whole heart. Gene was dedicated to his faith until the very end. Collecting cars, stamps, knives, and coins was one of his hobbies. Another big interest of his life was spending time with family. Gene was retired from Food City. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nell Yount; his wife of forty one years, Pauline Yount; his wife of eighteen years, Linda Yount; daughter, Tammy Minkler; son, Wally Frye; and grandson, T.J. He is survived by his two sons, Terry (Billie) Yount and Tim (Pam) Yount; daughters, Cora Davis and Stephanie (Andrew) Abraham; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and his beloved dogs, Snoopy and Monkey. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Terry Atkins officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 17th at Willis Chapel Cemetery in Kyles Ford for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
