Robert Brian “Tater” Morefield, age 57, of Mooresburg, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church and was employed by Old Dominion Freight Line in White Pine. Robert was an avid Tennessee Vols fan and especially love attending the Lady Vols games whenever he had the chance. He loved spending time riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles and watching any kind of racing. Above all, Robert cherished his family and loved visiting family in Charleston. He also enjoyed trips to the Casino. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Morefield; sisters, Shelly Delph and Robin Morefield; grandparents, Emanuel and Lucille Parker; father-in-law, Phillip “Jug” Jacobs; sister-in-law, Kacie Jacobs; and his long-time pet “Bentley.” He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Karen Morefield; son, Ethan Morefield; daughter, Taylor Morefield; mother and step-father, Bonnie (Paris) Delph; grandchildren, Aiden Parsons and Taylen Morefield; brothers, Gary (Theresa) Morefield, James “Allen” Morefield, William “Bo” (Elizabeth) Morefield, and Tim (Sabrina) Delph; mother-in-law, Pat Jacobs; sister-in-law, Terri Dodson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends; and his beloved dog, “Pixie.” The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm Sunday, June 7th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 pm Sunday with Rev. Rodney Ricketts officiating. Family and friends will meet for 11 am graveside services on Monday, June 8th at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
