Rocky M. Johnson

Rocky M. Johnson, age 64, of Morristown, fought a long, hard battle with cancer and finished the battle on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Death took him from his family but death will never take Rocky from our hearts. He was a carpenter by trade and loved working and making things with wood. Rocky passed peacefully at his home with his family by his bedside. He was saved and baptized and became a member of New Beginning Baptist Church in White Pine. He was preceded in death by his father, Grady Johnson; baby girl, Chasity Johnson; and brothers, Jerry Johnson and Jeff Johnson. He is survived by his daughters, Christina Seay of Bulls Gap and Jodie (Neal) Harrell of Mohawk; grandchildren, Kristen Seay, Korbin Bussell, Caleb Harrell, Conner Harrell, and Chloe Harrell; mother and step-father, Linda and Kyle Kinsler of Talbott; sister, Rita Morrisett; mother of his daughters, Debbie Waits; and several uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Rogers and nurse, Amy. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m. Monday, October 30th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bill Manning officiating. Interment will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Friends of Hospice Serenity House, 421 N.
