Ronald Dean Ross

Ronald Dean Ross, age 80, was born December 23, 1940 to Louise Meade and George Ross of Dennison, Ohio.  He was the youngest of 6 children. He was preceded in death by Ruth Gallagher, Irene Torch, and Donald Ross of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Harry Ross of Brilliant, Ohio, and Thelma May of Groveport, Ohio.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Lichtenberger Ross; they were married in Cumberland, Maryland on December 5, 1959 and spent 61 plus years together. He is also survived by his only child, Kathryn Sisco (Kevin Forbes); grandchildren, Ronald Sisco (Susan Johnson), Ross Sisco, and Annalise Sisco; and great-granddaughter, Adelaide Sisco. Ronnie had a passion for many things.  He was an airplane pilot and owned a 1976 Cessna aircraft.  He was an Advanced EMT and voluntarily served his community for many years.  He was a scuba diver who helped to rescue a woman from certain death off the coast of the Florida Keys.  He served on the City Council in Brilliant, Ohio for 7 years.  He graduated from Brilliant Memorial High School, WVU and worked for Titanium Metals/Timet as an extrusion design engineer in Toronto, Ohio and Morristown Tennessee for 30 years before retiring.  He was a consultant for several companies after that in Tennessee. He was also a 32nd degree Mason, Shriner, and a member of the Scottish Rite of Steubenville, Ohio. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Theodore Roosevelt. He was a member of the Christian Church of Brilliant, Ohio and First Baptist Church of Morristown, Tennessee. The Lord called Ronald home on March 24, 2021 at 2:33 in the afternoon. He had been fighting Parkinson’s Disease for a number of years. He was surrounded by his loving and devoted family, who knew him as a kind and gentle man. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, March 29th at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Mausoleum for entombment services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
