Roy Lee Cope, age 69, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, February 9th, 2021 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Noe’s Chapel United Methodist Church and was a life-long truck driver, retiring from Lakeway Container after being diagnosed with cancer. He was a loving husband and loved his job and his work family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Emma Cope; brother, Coy Cope; and mother-in-law, Lola Meade. He is survived by his wife, Debra Cope; daughter, Tammy (Graydon) Hicks of Fort Davis, Texas; granddaughter, Rebekah Hicks of Fort Davis, Texas; brother, Troy (Linda) Cope; brother-in-law, Jessee Meade (Lawana Stewart); and several nieces, nephews, and his wife’s family. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 14th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at Noe’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery for graveside services with Rev. John Wilson officiating.
