Roy "Tootie" Morris Young

Roy Morris “Tootie” Young, age 79, of Mooresburg, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026 at his residence. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, papaw, brother, and uncle and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jerusha Young; parents, George and Pauline Young; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Traci Young; brothers, Billy Robert Young, Joe Allen (Debbie) Young, and Milburn Frank Young; and brothers-in-law, Wayne Hickey and Wayne Dickerson. He is survived by his grandson, Jeremy (Stephanie) Young; great-grandchildren, Tyler Hawk and Nash Reed; sisters, Cissy Hickey and Margaret Dickerson; nephew, Jody (Kristi) Young; and several more nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his devoted nephew and wife, Jody and Kristi Young and to Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care. No services will be scheduled.
