Ruth (Mathis) Sadakne

Ruth Mathis Sadakne, age 88, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025. She was a member of Manley Baptist Church. She loved gardening, her roses, working in her flower garden, and compiling old family photos. Ruth was a devoted and loving mother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty eight years, George Sadakne; parents, Edgar and Bessie Mathis; brothers, Leonard, Tony, and Bob Mathis; and sisters, Imogene Hill, Georgia Davis, Maxine Reed, Linda Mathis, and Betty Lane. She is survived by her daughters, Tamara “Tammy” Sadakne Foster (Michael) and Amera “Lani” Helani Sadakne; sister, Geneva Waddell; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, September 5th at Manley Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Rev. Dwayne Moore officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 6th at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
