Stanley Snowden

Stanley Snowden, age 77, of Morristown, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Stanley was a respected businessman and retired as President of Walker Supply, where he earned the admiration of coworkers, customers, and the community through his integrity, leadership and unwavering work ethic. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, he remained a devoted Volunteer fan throughout his life, proudly supporting Tennessee athletics, especially basketball. A faithful member and deacon of Alpha Baptist Church, Stanley’s love for the Lord guided every aspect of his life. He was a true servant whose deep faith was evident in the way he cared for others. His generosity knew no bounds, and countless people were blessed by his kindness, compassion, and willingness to help whenever there was a need. His giving spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Stanley also loved spending time on the golf course with family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come. Whether serving his church, supporting his community, mentoring others, or enjoying the sports he loved, he lived a life marked by humility, faithfulness, and purpose.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Lura Maude Snowden; brother, Jim (Shirley) Snowden; and sister-in-law, Arlene Snowden. He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Patsy Snowden; daughter, Angela (Randall) Wright; son, Tim (Holly) Snowden; grandchildren, Landen (Sami) Hartsoe, Logan Wright, Alex (Tytianna) Wright; Tori Wright, and Jack Snowden; great-grandchildren, Austin and Cooper Hartsoe; brother, Richard (Denzel) Snowden; and a host of extended family. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, July 31st at Alpha Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Rev. Heath Smith officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 1st at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Alpha Baptist Church.
