Steve Ervin Cunningham

Steve Cunningham, age 65, of Morristown, went to be with His heavenly father on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Newport Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center. Steve was beloved and known for his kindness and ability to make everyone feel special. He was a loving person, cherished by family and friends, and truly never met a stranger. His warm spirit and genuine compassion will be deeply missed. Steve was a faithful member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church until his failing health, under Rev. Jesse L. Jones, Jr. He was a graduate of East High Hurricanes, attended Walters State Community College and Carson Newman College, where he played basketball. Steve was a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Christine Cunningham; father, Donald Cunningham; and sister, Karen Goins White. He is survived by sisters, Marletta Goins, Terri Maxwell, and Donna Cunningham Martin; brother, David Cunningham all of Morristown; uncle, John Patton; aunt, Roberta Patton of Morristown; and stepson, Matt Collins; also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  The family will receive friends from 4 – 5 p.m. Friday, May 16th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. with Rev. Billy Davis, Rev. Clifton Jackson, and Rev. Joseph Senter officiating.  Family and friends are welcome to visit the home of Donna Cunningham Martin at 2102 East Outer Drive.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
