Sue Viola (Lawson) Everett

Sue Viola Everett, age 82, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at her residence after a long battle with cancer. She worked for the Hamblen County School System at Manley Elementary for forty-four years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Everett; parents, Emory and Ada Lawson; brothers, Daryl Lawson, Robert Lawson, and James Lawson; and sister, Annie Faye Blakely. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Robert) Stetson and Lorena Beets; grandchildren, Robert Beets and Casey Kinsler; brothers, George Lawson, Herman Lawson, and Mack Lawson, all of Church Hill; sister, Jean Bryant of Surgoinsville; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, “Baby.” The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, June 7th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Kent Aiken officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8th at Economy United Methodist Church Cemetery for graveside services.
