Sussie M. (Moore) Smith

Sussie M. Smith, age 79, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She worked at Berkline for many years and was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Alexander Moore; wife, Melinda Bell White Smith; and son, Lewis Earl Smith, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Polly Moore, Geraldine (Ricky) Carpenter, and Sue Ann Smith; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Smith; grandchildren, Nicholas Freeman, Sean Freeman, Stephanie Corbitt, Stacey Trent, Tiffany Cheatham, Melinda Sue Moore, Michael Shane Moore, Matthew Steven Moore, Lewis Kane Smith, Victor Charles Mendoza, and Chevelle Faye Mendoza; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Private services for family and close friends will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
